When His suffering was toward end, Jesus said:

It is finished! and then He said:

Father, into your hands I commit my spirit.

Jesus died after saying these words.

The leader of the soldiers who crucified Jesus, looked up at Jesus and said:

Surely He was the Son of God!

Something strange happened in the temple. There was a tall and thick curtain separating the holy place. Once a year the high priest entered there to perform a sacrifice for the sin of people. When Jesus died, this curtain was torn in two from top to bottom.

This means that anyone can come to God through Jesus Christ, the One and Only who can bring salvation to all who believe.
