Do you remember how God sent Moses to free the Israelites? Moses came to pharaoh (the ruler of Egypt) and said: “God says: ‘Let the Israelites go away.’”

But pharaoh answered: “No. I don’t know any God. You will work for free.”

Pharaoh ordered the soldiers to torment the Israelites even more.

God became angry and he began to punish the Egyptians. He sent frogs, mosquitos, illnesses and other disasters.

Pharaoh would always say: “I trust God, stop this disaster and I will let you go.” But when the suffering ended, he forced them to work again.
