False Witnesses
The soldiers took Jesus to the high priest. He was kept prisoner, was beat and mocked. The religious leaders envied Jesus and wanted Him killed, but they did not have enough evidence against Him. The people who followed Jesus as He travelled, had nothing bad to say about Him. This is why false witnesses were called. Everything they said the morning Jesus was judged, was false. Why? Because Jesus never sinned, He never did any mistake or any wrong thing. He was without sin, He was God The Son.

What did one of the false witnesses say?
Jesus had spoken these right words, but He was referring to himself, to His own body. He was telling the people that he would die and the third day he would rise again.
