Surprised Luke
“I would burn them all,” Luke decided, “I would not forgive anyone.”
Mom just sighed. That was typical of Luke.
But Luke knew his stuff. Once you misbehave, you’re naughty and everyone knows about it. No one will forgive you, even if they say so. However, listen and see.
They finished reading the Bible, prayed, had breakfast, and Luke got ready for his way to school. Mom hugged him at the door, but before he could turn, she threatened him, “Be good there!”
Of course, since she knew Luke wouldn’t be good, why else would she say that?
Luke had gone to school and the lesson began. As soon as they were greeted, the teacher found out that she had forgotten the classbook in her cabinet.
“Be quiet for a moment, I’ll just get the classbook. You should not be heard next door! Do you understand, Luke?” The teacher looked directly at him again, staring at him until he nodded. As if he wanted to set the school on fire or something.
Luke was in a bad mood. He was frowning at the bench, not being able to find something fun to do. The first hour passed and then the second. No trouble yet.
Finally, the snack break was here. Luke clenched his fists, stuck out two fingers, and fired a cobweb from his wrist. He was just pretending of course. He pretended to be Spiderman. That was his favorite entertainment. He could run around the classroom, and the teachers minded it less than when he was chasing someone.
Luke ran. He shot his imaginary cobweb on the wall, bounced off the closet, and jumped out. Another cobweb got stuck to the ceiling, and Luke jumped over his schoolbag. He pulled his left hand to the blackboard. It was like hanging on a cobweb and bouncing off the shelves. But something was wrong. Luke crouched down and protected his head. Something was very wrong. Suddenly everything fell down from the shelves right on the teacher’s desk.
