Exodus, chapter 20, verses 1 to 3
And God spoke all these words: “I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery. “You shall have no other gods before me… “
God declared other commandments to be obeyed by the Israelites:
1) You shall have no other gods but me.
2) You shall not pray to any statue or perform magic rituals.
3) You shall not use God´s name as a curse.
4) On the seventh day you shall not work, but you shall pray.
5) Obey your parents and treat them nicely.
6) You shall not murder.
7) You shall not behave rudely.
8) You shall not steal.
9) You shall not lie about other people.
10) You shall not envy.
