One day, the Lord Jesus went to see His disciples who were gathered together in one room. Thomas was the only one missing. The others told Thomas what had happened:

He appeared in our midst without opening the door and He showed us the marks left by the nails, they said.

Having heard all these, Thomas did not believe anything they told him.
