Steve’s dog

Steve's dog whined when he received the injection. As soon as the veterinarian released him, he ran to Steve and jumped on his lap.
"Don't worry, you'll get well soon," Steve whispered to the dog.
The dog's name was Ron. Steve got him for his fourth birthday as a little puppy. He took care of him. He gave him food in a bowl and walked him. Now Ron had grown up and he was a very beautiful dog.
But Ron got sick last week. He vomited, stuck out his tongue and didn't want to run. Steve and his father had taken him to the vet. Since then, Ron had been driven to the vet regularly for injections.
At home, Steve put Ron in his pet bed. He lied down next to him, stroked him and was with him. He could feel Ron breathing and how tired he was. He was a little sad about it, but he thought Ron would definitely recover. He was already looking forward to going for walks together again. He would throw him sticks and Ron would lick his face happily.
The evening before he went to bed, Steve had checked on Ron to see if he was not missing anything. He said good night and Ron licked his hand.
