The teacher stood up for David

How the teacher stood up for David

It's the first time. David had finally gone to a school retreat. He was looking forward to it so much. And the first night was great. He was in a room with friends. Everyone unpacked their backpacks, and everyone had brought something. Ondra had a big bottle of Coca Cola, Ada brought crisps and David brought some sour candies.

Everyone was sitting on their beds, talking about their classmates, playing games, telling jokes, showing funny videos on their mobile phones, pouring Cola and eating chips. It was a lot of fun.

"You have a party here!" their teacher laughed from the door. "But now time to wrap it up, lights out in five minutes, so change, go to bathroom and sleep."

The boys had changed, and finished Coke while watching the last videos. But the teacher was already there and rushed them to their beds.

It was dark and quite quiet, except for Ada´s farting. But then there was silence again. David was used to reading the Bible with his mother every night at home. Dad had also installed the Bible app on his cell phone so he could read it. So David touched his cell phone, launched the app, and read about how the Lord Jesus was questioned, flogged, and mocked.

"What are you playing there?" Ondra whispered.

"I'm not playing, I'm reading," David replied.

"And what?" Ondra asked again.

"The Bible," David turned off his cell phone.

"Shut up," Ada was angry, almost asleep.

Then there was silence. All the boys fell asleep.

The dawn was breaking. David woke up. He felt weird. His bed was wet. Was he sweating so much? No, it stank. David wet his bed. It's because of the Coke.
