In the 21st century, so many marriages that are supposed to have begun knowing the Lord's will, fall apart shortly. You may wonder how you could say “Yes” to a marriage taking place in such a context.
One detail we should consider in the history of Isaac and Rebekah's marriage is Abraham's godliness and faithfulness to God. Abraham was a godly man and he resorted to such a solution fully trusting that the God He serves would give him guidance. It is also good to notice that he did not give the command to choose a wife for Isaac to anyone, but “to the chief servant in his household … the one in charge of all that he had …” (Gen 24:2). A person with life experience, in whom he had every confidence that he would do everything according to the Lord's will. And the servant's prayer in Genesis 24:11-14 proves that he had all these qualities.
If the one who “arranges” your marriage is equally godly, looking to do the will of the Lord in all things, then you can accept the marriage full of trust. But if not, say “No” and await the will of the Lord.
