The marriage between Isaac and Rebekah was a marriage “arranged” by God, that is a marriage according to God's will. This, however, is not the only marriage made according to the Lord's will, in which the two people involved were not “looking for” their partner. For Adam, the first man, God did not create 10 women from which he would choose the most beautiful, the wisest, although God could have done it. God has prepared the right partner for Adam.
Abraham's servant wanted God to show Him His will and the woman He prepared for Isaac. He asked the Lord for such a specific and unusual sign and God responded to him according to his faith. The marriage between Rebekah and Isaac was, without a doubt, according to God's will, arranged by God.
Each marriage must be made in the will and under the guidance of the Lord. God in His sovereignty and love has prepared for people the “suitable help” (Genesis 2:18) so that His children, who live in His will, may have a beautiful marriage that would bring praise His Name.
