What should you do?
Have you ever used the name of the Lord Jesus or the name of God in a disrespectful way, joking, to show your amazement or to show how upset you are? Choose to say STOP to this habit which is not pleasing to God. Talk in a way that pleases Him, being a good example for those around you.
You can pray:
Lord, please forgive me for making You sad through my words. I realize that many times I’ve used words without wisdom and I’ve misused Your name. Please help me respect You and show this through my words. In the Name of Jesus. Amen.
