Robin’s rescue
The parrot turned its back in the cage and ignored Robin. He didn’t react even when Robin tapped on the glass in the pet shop window. What a pity.
Robin turned into the hall of the mall, looking for his parents. Oops! How long had he been standing there? He couldn’t see his parents anywhere. Not even at the drugstore where they were last, nor at the other stores. His parents were not like him, they would not stop at every shop window.
Robin went down the hall, looking at all the adults in a burgundy sweater or black coat. There were a few, but none of them were dad or mom. He came to the cafe with the mermaid in the green logo. He knew every detail on its wall, because he had been standing bored there many times while his parents were having coffee.
Robin scratched a familiar crack in the cafe wall with his fingernail, wondering what he would do. He wouldn’t cry like a baby there. He had to find his parents. It might be a problem.
He headed down the hall to the right, because there was a shoe store where they were shopping earlier, while his mom was just looking at the shiny jewellery through the shop window.
So he kept going. He looked around for his parents, looked at the shop windows, and suddenly stood at the exit. But he didn’t know this one. They would always walk out through the exit with sliding doors, these doors were large and revolving.
Robin turned around. “My God, please show me the way,” he prayed quickly, realizing he was in big trouble.
