The women were very happy. They went to find the disciples and tell them the good news. Mary didn’t know the good news. She thought someone had taken the body of Jesus away.

Peter and John saw that the body was not in the tomb. Peter was sad but John believed Jesus was alive. While Mary was at the tomb, a man came by. Mary asked if he knew where they had taken the body of Jesus. The man said her name. He said “Mary” and she knew who the man was. It was Jesus! Jesus was alive. Jesus was so happy.

That night the disciples were together in a room with the door shut. They were talking about what the women had said. Then suddenly Jesus was in the room with His disciples. They saw Him alive! Jesus ate with His disciples. They knew He was alive.

The good news for the disciples was that Jesus was alive. That is good news for you too!
