Have you ever met a soldier? There were two soldiers guarding the tomb where they had put the body of the Lord Jesus. Suddenly on the morning of the third day there was an earthquake. The ground shook and an angel came down! The angel rolled away the stone that covered the door of the tomb and sat on it. The soldiers were so scared they just fell down! When they got up, they ran to tell the enemies of Jesus that the tomb to was empty. Jesus was gone!

His disciples did not know what had happened. The women got to the tomb first. When they got there, the big stone had been rolled away. When Mary saw that the tomb was empty, she ran to tell Peter and John, two of His disciples.

Two angels came to the women who were still at the tomb. They told the women not to be afraid. They told them good news. Jesus is alive! Can you say “Jesus is alive!” in your quiet, inside voice? Now say “Jesus is alive” in your very loud, outside voice!
