Elizabeth was so excited!

"Is Daddy coming for us yet?" she asked her mom every day. But it took so long.

A few weeks ago, Elizabeth's father got a new job. It was a good job he enjoyed doing, and he got a lot of money for it. But it was in a different city than the one they had lived in.

But dad figured it out all very well. He got them a new apartment in a new city. He even showed Elizabeth photos of what it would look like. Together with Elizabeth they had also chosen a new bed she would have there. Elizabeth had a picture of it on her computer. It was pink and had nice shapes. What a beautiful bed. Elizabeth was looking forward to sleeping in it.

But Dad had to start working in his new job very soon. The apartment was not ready yet. That's why dad left alone. He worked in that foreign city and prepared housing for his family. Elizabeth and her mother still lived in the old apartment by themselves.

That was why she kept asking her mother if daddy was coming yet. She missed him, and she was also looking forward to their new apartment and her room and the beautiful bed. Why did it take so long? Why did it take so long? Why so long? Too loooong. As if daddy was not meant to come back again.
