The Israelites came to the tent to be with God. The tent was their temple (like church). But it was not the best solution. God did not want to be in the tent. He wanted to be in people’s hearts. That’s why he sent Jesus. Jesus is God the Son. When Jesus died, the curtain in the temple was torn. Jesus defeated sin and death and received a new life. Anyone whose name is written in the book of life can have God in their heart.

At the beginning of this lesson, you wrote a list of people you like to be with. God would like to have every person in the world on his list. He wants your name on it as well.
