Hannah’s betrayal

Hannah’s betrayal

“Why does God want a covenant?” Molly wondered, “God should help us just because He is kind. Like with me and Hannah.”

Hannah and Molly are BFF (best friends forever). They’re still making sure of that. They do everything together. Their facebook is full of selfies with heart emojis and they write “my BFF” in the comments.

Even though they go to school together and spend the afternoons together, they still text each other on their cell phones every night. They understand each other as if they were reading each other’s thoughts. They know exactly what the other one thinks of each boy or girl.

Therefore, Hannah was the first one to learn that Molly was sick. She had known this before she came to school and could report it to the teacher.

She rang the bell at Molly’s door in the afternoon and her mother let her into the room. Molly was sick, so the girls crawled into the bed and looked at photos together.

Right at that moment, Hannah’s cell phone vibrated, and a message appeared: “Are you going to go swimming with us?”

“I’m here with M. She’s sick” Hannah replied and closed the application. The girls looked at each other and kept laughing about last summer’s photos.

“They have attractions for free today” that was another text message followed by a link to the aquapark’s announcement about the “all attractions for free” event.

“Okay” Hannah replied and started packing.

“Are you leaving?” Molly asked in surprise.

“There has never been such an event before, you know,” Hannah turned to Molly, “get well soon, I’ll text you.”

Hannah folded her hands in the shape of heart between the doors and disappeared out of the room and out of the house.

Molly sank into her bed sadly. What should she do now? She would be so bored again same as the whole morning.
