Ping’s mum had planned a fun game for Ping, John, Joey and Tara to play. It was the “Senses Game.”

Ping's mumhad all kinds of special foods to help the children play this game. Maybe you can play this game with someone sometime.

First the children had to see something and tell what it was. Ping's mum showed them a potato and a tomato. They looked very different even though their names were almost the same.

Then she had them close their eyes and touch the tomato and the potato. The tomato was very smooth but the potato was bumpy.

Now it was time to smell some foods. Inside two plastic boxes were two things that smelled very different. One smelled sweet. It was a banana. The other smelled bad. It was an onion.

What was Ping's mum going to let them hear and taste? An apple tasted very good. It made a crunching sound when the children took a bite. Then they ate a section of orange. It was sweet too.
