In the days of the Lord Jesus, when someone died, his body was anointed with perfume. The women who were at the cross site when Jesus died, could not anoint His body before burial because of the Sabbath day, when they were not allowed to work. On Sunday, early in the morning, they went to the tomb and wondered how they will roll the stone away, as it was very big and heavy.
When they got to the tomb, they saw the stone was rolled away, and Jesus’ body was not in the grave.
Mary Magdalene said:
They have taken the Lord out of the tomb, and we don’t know where they have put him!

Mary Magdalene went to tell the disciples about what she had seen. Peter and John ran to see what had happened. It was indeed as Mary had said.
Jesus was alive!
