Jesus was sold for pieces of silver.
One piece of silver was worth four days of work. Thirty pieces of silver was the price of a slave. This was the price the chief priests offered to Judas for betraying Jesus. Judas told the priests:

In Israel it was common for men to greet each other with a kiss.
