The Lord Jesus came to be King and to bring salvation, but not to be King on earth or to free the Jewish people from the Roman rule. Jesus came to be King in people’s hearts, in those who come to Him and are willing to make Him Lord of their lives.

Also, He came to save me and you from sin. Through His death and resurrection, Jesus defeated Satan, God’s enemy.
