Then one day the doorbell rang. As always, Elizabeth asked, "Is it daddy?" And her mother suddenly said, "Yes, it is! Let him in. "

And Elizabeth ran. She was so happy she couldn't even unlock the door. But as soon as she succeeded, the door had opened and Elizabeth jumped into her father's arms. She was so happy.

Then daddy, mommy and Elizabeth packed everything up and drove to the new city in a big truck.

As soon as the door to the new apartment opened, Elizabeth ran inside and ran to her new room. And there it was. Her new bed. Exactly what Elizabeth wanted. Way more beautiful than in the picture. Even better than daddy promised her.

Elizabeth stroked the sheet and smiled, "It's like in heaven," she said aloud.

"Well, you had to wait for it almost like for heaven," Dad laughed.

Elizabeth thought about that for a moment and then added, "And you have prepared a place for us here, just as the Lord Jesus is preparing a place for us in heaven."

"But it'll be even better in heaven," Dad added.

Elizabeth lay down on her bed and felt very happy. She dangled her legs, trying to imagine how it would be even better in heaven.
