Teri was really small. Everyone kept saying that about her, "Aww, you're so little!" Some people even asked her if she was going to school while she was already in third grade.

But that was not the worst. It was the worst at school. Big guys really enjoyed taking her things and holding them up high. Teri tried to get them back and they laughed at her. When some of the adults noticed it, they rebuked the boys, but laughed as well. Teri had always seen it. Everyone just laughed at her.

Teri's mother advised her not to pay attention so that the boys would stop making fun of her. But then they would put her things high on shelves or window ledges, and Teri had to ask someone to take her things down. And that person laughed too, and it had always been awfully embarrassing.
