Her mom glowered at her at first, but then she got an idea: "Veronica, who is more important, the princess or the king?"
Veronica was surprised because she expected to get scolded. But the answer was clear: "The king," she said aloud.
"And do you know who is the greatest king?"
Veronica knew this as well: "The lord Jesus. He is God and reigns over the whole earth. "
"Very well," her mother smiled and continued, "Even though the Lord Jesus is such a great king, He came to us on Earth. Do you remember, Veronica, what we read in the Bible? What did the Lord Jesus do?”
"He healed others!" Veronica replied, remembering it all well.
"Exactly," her mom nodded. "The Lord Jesus healed and had helped all people. Even the ones others didn't like. Even though he was a great king, he did not expel anyone. And he also says in the Bible that we should help others as well.”
"Veronica," her mother looked very serious now, "what should the princess do when the king orders us to help each other?"
Veronica started shuffling around and writhing a little. She knew the answer, but she didn't like it very much. Finally, she replied, "Obey."
"Exactly," her mom replied. "What do you think, could you help Jenny in some way?"
