The ultimate model
Who can offer the true model of love? The One from whom we can learn, the One whose love must be our model is God. This is how the Bible speaks of this love:
“For God so loved the world, that He gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.”
God loved us so much, that He gave His only Son for us. Each of us has sinned and we deserve the death penalty for our sins. Our sins condemn us to eternal separation from God.
But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
