And she was bored indeed. In turns Molly stared at the wall and at her cell phone. No one interesting was online. She was feeling sick and could not sleep. The evening approached. She picked up her cell phone again and clicked on the facebook icon. She had several notifications.
“Today was the best day with you girls!!” Hannah wrote with a pile of smiley emojis. There were a lot of photos. In the pool, on the water slide, on other slides, in the whirlpool, in the corridor. The girls were obviously having fun. But one photo made Molly completely upset. It was a selfie of Hannah and Viki, and on the photo with capital letters there was written “BFF” and a number of emojis blowing a kiss. Hannah posted it.
Molly tossed her cell phone under the bed and buried her face in the pillow. She didn’t expect this from Hannah. And just when she was sick.
That was exactly how her mother found Molly in her bed twenty minutes later. When Molly told her what had happened, her mother pulled her closer and caressed her hair.
“You and Hannah will talk about it. Such a friendship will not disappear in just one day.”
“But maybe now you understand why God wants to have a covenant with us. In the morning you said that God should let us do what we want. Didn’t that photo change your mind?”
