John loved to go to church. On Sunday morning he would get up singing “Jesus Loves Me.” John would hurry and get dressed. He would eat breakfast fast. He wanted to get to church early.

Tara, Ping and Joey loved to go to church too. When they got to church they would all go to the Sunday school class for their age. Mrs. Alden was their teacher.

What was the best part about church? They loved to hear stories from God’s true book, the Bible. Mrs. Alden always had pictures of the Bible story for them to see and touch. They even learned a Bible verse that they could say for their family. Mrs. Alden showed them where the verse lived in the Bible. Mrs. Alden told them the good news that Jesus is alive!

Joey, John, Tara and Ping loved to sing songs about Jesus. They learned how to sing the songs with their mouths and their hands. It was fun to sing!

Each week they would make a craft to take home for their mummies and daddies. They were very careful not to leave it at the church or in the car.

If you don’t go to church, perhaps you can ask your mummy or daddy if they will take you. Church is a good place to learn more about Jesus. It is also a good place to see your friends.
