Whoever does not believe in Jesus

is shut for him. To perish means to be without God
forever.
Whoever believes in Jesus, the way is opened for him. In the Bible we can read, what it means to have eternal life:
They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death.
