Praying or talking to God was very, very important to Daniel. Even Daniel sometimes did things that displeased God. But he asked God for forgiveness and God saved him. If you have never prayed this way you can ask your quide how to do it.
Daniel did not stop praying. If you have accepted the Lord Jesus as your Saviour and asked Him to forgive you, you should learn to pray to God every day. But in fact what are you supposed to say?
You can say, “THANK YOU,” to God.
“Thank You for my parents, for my health, for my friends. Thank You for sending Your Son, the Lord Jesus, to die on the cross for me. Thank You for forgiving my sins. Thank You that You are always with me and will never leave me. Thank You for all the good things that You have given me. Thank you for the fun I had this afternoon. Thank you for answering my prayer.”
You can say, “PLEASE, God.”
“Please help me to do what is right, even when it is difficult to do so. Please help me with these lessons. Please help me at school. Please help my mother and father. Please give me good ideas.”
You can say, “I LOVE YOU.”
“I love You, God, because You are so loving and kind to me. I love You because You are so pure and perfect. I love You, God, because You always keep Your promises. I love You because You never change. I‘m glad that you are with me.”
Sometimes you need to say, “FORGIVE ME.”
If you have done something wrong, God is sad and disappointed. You can say something like this to Him: “I am sorry that I have done wrong. I have disobeyed You. Please forgive me.” He promises in the Bible to forgive you. Then you could say, “Thank You, God, for forgiving me and not leaving me, though I deserved it. Help me do things better next time.”
