How did it Happen?

You have certainly discovered that doing the right thing is very hard. Sometimes it seems impossible. For Daniel and his friends it would have been impossible too if they had not trusted in God.

Maybe you too believe in God. Do you ask Him to help you do the right thing and make the right decisions? God helped Daniel by giving Him courage and helping him in other situations. All the same He will help you if you ask Him to. Do not be afraid to make the right decision and be brave enough to tell others about Jesus. Perhaps you can show them these lessons. God will help you.

You don’t believe in God?

Maybe you do not believe in God. And you have discovered that even though you try hard to do the right thing it is impossible. Everybody is in the same situation as you and it is due to the sin that is inside us. No-one has been able to remove it. That is why God sent the Lord Jesus to take all our sins on Himself. Jesus died on the cross instead of us. When you ask Him, He will forgive your sins and like Daniel you will become God’s friend and His child. God will help you too.

God Helped Them

In the same way, God helped Daniel and his friends who trusted in Him. For three years they studied and obeyed God. We read about them, “As for these four young men God gave them knowledge and skill in all literature and wisdom.”

At the end of the three years there were some exams. How did Daniel and his companions do? The king talked with them and found none equal to them. They came out top of the whole class! And so all four got good jobs serving the king in the palace. God rewarded them for their bravery in obeying Him.
